Back to School Information for Sunshine Elementary

General Information

Students' first day is MONDAY, AUGUST 8. School begins at 9:15am. If you are dropping your child off, make sure to arrive around 8:45 to give plenty of time for your child to make it to their class before the tardy bell.

If you plan on walking your child to class, please park in the first parking lot on your right when you enter the school campus. No cars are allowed to park at or near the student drop off for safety purposes.

Open House

- Visit homeroom, learn about curriculum and homework
- Fill out free/reduced lunch application
- Find out bus routes and times
- Complete necessary paperwork
- Visit school store for school spirit items
- Sign up for Sun Up to Sun Down Program

Sun Up to Sun Down (Before and After Care)

Program Information

The goal of the Sun Up to Sun Down program is to provide an alternative environment for K-5 children of working parents. The program strives to provide positive educational and recreational care which includes:
- Homework assistance
- Tutorial help
- Arts & crafts
- Physical activity
- Social interaction
- Afternoon snack

Hours

Mornings: 6:30am until breakfast (8:45am)
Afternoons: Dismissal (3:30pm) until 6:15pm

Enrollment

Parents must complete an enrollment form and make payment for the upcoming week in the school office. The enrollment form is available here.

Program Fee/Payment

Non-refundable registration fee	$35
Mornings only	$10/week
Afternoons only	$30/week
Mornings and afternoons	$40/week

A discount of $10 weekly will be applied for each additional child in the family who is registered in the program.
