The Parent Teacher Organization is a combination of dedicated parents, faculty, and staff. The PTO meets on the third Thursday of every month. PTO provides money for incentives to students and teachers, classroom supplies, along with other educational materials to enhance our children's education. PTO sponsors several events throughout the year including a holiday store, and other fun family events to raise funds. PTO meetings are an excellent way to have your voice heard and to see the differences being made. The PTO's main goal is always the same: our Sunshine Elementary’s students success!
Parent and Family Engagement Plans (PFEP) are written with parents and school staff together each year.
Information in the plans include:
- How parents are involved in the school and their child’s education
- When the Annual Title 1 Meeting will be held to discuss Title 1 information and make decisions about funds
- What workshops will be offered to parents to help build their involvement in their child’s education.
